Tagging Fish

NJ angler Dave Messerschmid

Scientists who work at Rutgers University wanted to place tags inside a certain species of fish, Striped Bass, to learn if they had favorite places to swim.

The scientists were able to gather information about where the fish were swimming because these tags sent out signals from the fish, which buoys picked up.
